The 'named accountable GP for all patients' requirement has now been extended to all patients from 1st April 2015. All general practices have a contractual requirement to inform all patients of their named, allocated GP. There is no condition within the requirement for patients to see the named GP when they book an appointment. To find out who your named GP is please call 01945 660460 or come in to reception between 8:00am and 6:30pm Mon-Fri.
Updated Statement of Intent:
As per contractual requirements, North Brink Practice will have the facility to allow patients to view full medical records and detailed coded access, online by 31st March 2016, subject to the availability on our clinical system.
Once this facility is in place, we will update our website accordingly.
This had been temporarily released via our clinical system provider TPP, who have since rolled back the options, due to a number of impacts of this functional release.
Currently you can request the option called My Summary Patient Record when using online services, which allows you to view details of any medication, allergies and sensitivities recorded.
Our December 2015 results for Friends and Family are in. We received an average score of 4/5. You can rate your last visit to the practice via paper copies at reception or by clicking here.
*If you cannot make your appointment, please let us know so that it can be offered to another patient.*
*If you are experiencing dental problems, please contact your dentist.*
Our New Same Day and Pre-bookable Clinics
In response to patients’ calls for more appointments, North Brink Practice has introduced a new nurse-led clinics format for the benefit of all.
Nurse-led clinics are run by nurses and clinically supervised by a GP. This means that patients benefit from the medical advice they need, but the GP is freed up to see 4-times as many patients in the same available time.
Since Monday 5 October, both Same Day appointments and Pre-bookable appointments now follow this new format. Patients are able to pre-book with the GP of their choice, although that GP works with a team of up to 4 nurses. Although this means that you will not spend as long with your GP, we anticipate that it will be easier for you to book into their nurse-led clinic and therefore reduce your waiting time. If the GP decides that they wish to see you for longer than the clinic-format allows, the GP is able to book you in for a longer appointment as necessary.
We recognise that this is different for patients and that the new format will not necessarily suit all preferences and medical conditions. But our GP team is convinced that patients will ultimately be better served by improved access to medical care.
Our phone number has changed with effect from Wednesday 1st April 2015 to 01945 660460 - There will be no change to the services we currently provide through our phone lines.
From the 1st September 2015 the local OOH Service (Out of Hours) will no longer run within North Brink Practice. It is now going to operate from the North Cambs Hospital.
